Cheryl Rosner is a travel, brand strategy, and marketplace expert. She has devoted most of her career to serving consumers and partnering with suppliers to develop marketplaces that enable commerce between buyers and sellers.

Rosner joined Lightspeed in January 2019 to focus on new and disruptive travel commerce. Rosner was drawn to Lightspeed for its forward-looking and innovative approach to business.

As Founder and CEO of Stayful, Rosner developed a marketplace that enabled hotels to sell perishable inventory, hotel rooms that would otherwise go unsold through typical channels. Launched in July 2013 and sold to WV Holdings, Stayful’s mission was to serve independent, boutique hotels and the travelers who seek to discover them. A love of hotels and developing technology and marketplaces to help them has been a driver throughout Cheryl’s career.

Cheryl started her career in hotels in various roles including sales, marketing, revenue management, technology, and operations. In 1999, Cheryl joined the founders of Hotel Reservations Network, which went on to become Cheryl joined as head of marketing and product development. She created the brand and went on to become President of the company. In 2004 Business Travel News named Rosner one of the “25 Most Influential People in Travel”. Cheryl went on to become President of Expedia Corporate Travel now called Egencia and then to TicketsNow as President and CEO, an independent online ticket marketplace sold to Ticketmaster. Rosner went on to become CEO and Strategic Advisor to BuyWithMe, a daily deals site sold to Gilt Group. Cheryl has served on several boards such as SilverRail Technology and Digital River, is a Mentor for Telluride Venture Accelerator, on the Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees of Conscious Capitalism, an Executive Mentor for Lean Launchpad at Haas, UC Berkeley and a Director for along with several other early-stage businesses. When not working on and with startups, Cheryl can usually be found skiing or hiking somewhere.
