Michelle Nelson is the Chief Operating Officer for Meyer Vacation Rentals, which manages and provides services for over 1300 vacation rental houses and condominiums along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast. Nelson also serves as Vice Chairman for SH Enterprises, which is the umbrella company for the companies of Century 21 Meyer Real Estate, Meyer Vacation Rentals and Meyer Services with operations in Alabama and Florida plus Starr Textile Services, a commercial laundry and textile rental business with facilities in Foley, AL and New Orleans, LA serving customers in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. Together all the companies of SH Enterprises employ 200+ full-time staff along with 300+ seasonal team members and now has over 40 sales associates.

Mrs. Nelson began her career at Meyer Real Estate in the summer of 2006 after graduating from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL where she majored in International Relations and minored in Latin American and Caribbean Affairs. While in college, Mrs. Nelson gained both experience and a passion for the Hospitality Industry as an intern with both Walt Disney World Resorts and the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.

Upon returning to the Alabama Gulf Coast after college, Michelle Nelson became actively involved in the community and is presently Immediate Past-Chairman for the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, and serves on the boards of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, the Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Baldwin County Education Coalition. Mrs.Nelson also serves on the American Heart Association’s Executive Leadership Team and has played an active administrative role in the Coastal Resiliency Coalition’s “War Room,” a joint chamber initiative created in response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill and is also an alumni of the Leadership Alabama Initiative as well as Leadership Baldwin County.
