Director of Meetings
The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS)
Kyle Jordan, CAE, CEM-AP, CMP Fellow, DES serves as the Director of Meetings for The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). In this role, he provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s portfolio of meetings and conferences, leading the development and execution of large-scale experiences that support learning, engagement, and community building across the operations research and analytics profession.
Prior to joining INFORMS, Kyle held leadership positions with the National Confectioners Association (NCA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and Synergos Association Management Company. Throughout his career, he has focused on designing impactful meeting experiences and thoughtful learning journeys for a broad range of professions and industries.
Kyle is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), Certified in Exhibition Management Advanced
Professional (CEM-AP), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Fellow, and Digital Event Strategist (DES).
He is an active volunteer within the meetings and events industry and serves as faculty for the
International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) CEM certification programme. In 2026, Kyle was recognized as a finalist for the PCMA Groundbreaker Visionary Award in recognition of his leadership and contributions toward creating more inclusive and welcoming meeting experiences within
the industry.
Kyle received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Gender Studies from Valparaiso University. He also earned a Master of Education from Washington State University and a Master of Science in Human Resources from Western Carolina University. Additionally, he completed a Certificate of Meeting Management (CMM) through Meeting Professionals International and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
