Diana leads the Product Lodging and Services team for the US and Canada, bringing together brand, operations, and design resources to create a more cohesive approach to lodging product strategy.
Diana previously served as Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Select Brands. In this role, she led the Select Brands portfolio and organization, setting long term direction for some of Marriott’s fastest growing brands. She was responsible for maximizing each brand’s economic model, resulting in greater profitability for owners and franchisees, while ensuring each brand remained distinct and delivered exceptional guest experiences.
She worked closely with global and continent leaders on key initiatives and priorities to move the brand portfolio forward. Her oversight included brands such as Courtyard by Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft, Moxy, and newer brands StudioRes and Four Points Flex by Sheraton, among others.
Since joining Marriott in 2015, Diana has served as Vice President of Brand, Marketing, and Digital for the Caribbean and Latin America, where she also established the Owner and Franchise Relations organization for the region. She later held the role of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the CALA region, leading commercial and customer strategy for nearly 500 hotels across more than 35 countries and territories. She also played a key role in the acquisition and integration of City Express by Marriott and in launching the all inclusive platform.
Originally from Cali, Colombia, Diana serves as the Executive Sponsor for the Hispanic and Latino Associate Resource Group at Marriott. She is also on the board for Women Leading Travel and the nonprofit Comic Kids. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Georgetown University and an Executive MBA from Florida International University.
