Geoff Ballotti is the president and chief executive officer of the Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with over 8,000 hotels across 19 iconic brands in over 130 countries united by US NEWS & WORLD REPORT'S #1 HOTEL loyalty program, Wyndham Rewards. He leads a team laser-focused on transforming its quality, sales, marketing, loyalty and technology capabilities. He stewards its operation and growth including the 2015 acquisition of Dolce Hotels & Resorts, which added more than 5,500 guest-rooms across seven countries in Europe and North America and its 2016 acquisition of FEN Hotels adding another 3,500 rooms across six countries in Latin America. Under his leadership, Wyndham is solidifying its leadership position with JD POWER'S #1 economy and #1 midscale brands, Microtel by Wyndham and Wingate by Wyndham, while operating many of the industry's most internationally recognized trademarks including Days Inn®, Ramada and Super 8® which recently added its 1,000th hotel in China.
Previously, Ballotti served six years as president and chief executive officer of Wyndham Exchange & Rentals, the global leader in vacation exchange and the world’s largest professionally managed vacation rentals destination company across Europe and the United States. At the helm of the Exchange & Rentals business he oversaw a network of renowned accommodation brands serving more than 3.7 million RCI® timeshare owners and millions of annual vacation renters at storied brands like ResortQuest, Steamboat Resorts, Novasol, Landal Greenparks and English Country Cottages.
Prior to joining Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE:WYN), Ballotti spent nearly 20 years in various leadership positions at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide both in the U.S. and in Europe. He served as president of Starwood North America where he led the 65,000 associates of the owned, managed and franchised St. Regis, Luxury Collection, Westin, Le Meridien, W and Sheraton hotel Brands. In Europe he served as Managing Director, Ciga Spa, Italy which operated such storied hotels as The Gritti Palace and The Hotel Danieli in Venice and the Hotel Excelsior and Grand in Rome. Prior to Starwood, he was a Banking Officer in the commercial Real Estate Group at the Bank of New England.
Ballotti has served on the board of directors for Christel House International, a not-for-profit organization that supports impoverished children throughout the world along with the Executive Committee of the American Resort & Development Association. He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association and Chairman of the U.S. Travel Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and a master’s degree from Harvard Business School.
He is based in the company’s Parsippany headquarters and resides with his wife and four daughters in Long Valley, NJ.
