Johannes Thomas is Managing Director at trivago, a leading global hotel metasearch. He joined the company in 2011 to build up its Performance Marketing Department and is now steering the path of the newly founded B2B unit. He and his team are reinventing the way trivago connects advertisers to its millions of travelers worldwide. Further, Johannes heads up the Business Operations and Strategy Department, which is responsible for running strategic projects within trivago. Having discovered his passion for the industry at an early age, Johannes’s over ten years of experience in travel and hospitality include working at his family’s hotel, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and isango. He went on to found his own start-up, which operated travel sites in Germany, Italy, and Spain.
