Langham Hospitality Group
Based in Hong Kong, Stefan Leser provides strategic guidance to Langham Hospitality Group’s operations, drives innovation, and leads the global expansion drive for the group.
A graduate of Augusta State University in Georgia, Mr. Leser has more than three decades of experience in the global travel industry. Prior to his current role, he was the chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors at Jumeirah International. In that capacity, Mr. Leser spearheaded several significant milestone projects, such as the inauguration of The Terrace at Burj Al Arab and the completion and launch of Jumeirah Al Naseem, the group’s luxury hotel overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
Mr. Leser has also held senior roles for more than a decade at Kuoni Travel Holding Ltd., the leading Swiss travel services provider. As a member of Kuoni’s executive board and executive vice president of the outbound and specialists division, Mr. Leser directed the company’s travel businesses in the Nordics, United Kingdom, Benelux, India, China, Hong Kong, and Switzerland. In addition, he was responsible for all businesses specializing in inbound destination management which had a purview of US$3 billion in revenues and 8,000 employees. Prior to joining Kuoni, Mr. Leser spent six years in the information technology industry with Swissair and EDS Corporation.
As a leader who favours a practical approach philosophy and quality-driven, innovative processes to achieve excellence, Mr. Leser has made it his mission to grow Langham Hospitality Group’s acquisitions and real estate development, raise the luxury profiles of The Langham and Cordis hotel brands, successfully solicit new management contracts, coordinate successful hotel openings, and deliver consistency to the operating departments globally.
