Pepijn Rijvers is Chief Marketing Officer of Booking.com overseeing the company’s marketing efforts worldwide. He has served in key leadership positions within the company, including Head of Supply, Head of Content and Head of Business Development. A key leader of the Booking.com business, Rijvers is critical in applying specific innovation, ecommerce and technical skills and experience to the overall Booking.com brand across the entire marketing mix.
As Head of Supply at Booking.com, Pepijn was responsible for driving growth and regional expansion for the third largest ecommerce company globally leading a team of 3,000 employees across 125+ offices. He exceeded benchmarks and set a record for the team, elevating the e-commerce site’s inventory to over 600,000 properties, more than doubling that growth in two years
As Head of Content, Rijvers developed a deeper understanding for customer preferences on digital and mobile devices and emerging trends in the online travel experience. This translated into Booking.com’s industry leading Content hub, a ground-breaking initiative that applied algorithmic data to content development on the website in a way that drove business for Booking.com and revenue-increasing tactics for properties listing on Booking.com.
Today Rijvers is spearheading the development of new marketing demand channels for Booking.com, the original pioneer of scaled digital marketing, and driving the brand’s recently-reported partnership with Facebook.
Pepijn came to Booking.com from the financial services industry. Earlier in his career, he founded a web development company, the Convey Group, geared towards e-commerce and e-business applications for large and medium-sized businesses in the Netherlands.
