Chief Operating Officer, Wearable Experiments
Alexandra Wood is the Chief Operating Officer of Wearable Experiments, a socially driven wearable technology company. Wearable Experiments’ mission is to bring together fashion and technology with a functional design aesthetic and use creative problem solving to help us live well and have a better quality of life.
Until recently, Alexandra served as the Global Product Director for communications group Havas, where she led teams globally that developed user-centric digital products, both for clients such as IBM, and for Havas. In addition, Alexandra led global operations and business development efforts for Havas Cognitive, a new practice area specialized in helping clients build AI-powered products and services to enhance customer experience.
In addition, Alexandra has served in several other technology-enabled leadership roles, ranging from agency-side eCommerce at CREATETHE Group to operations and logistics for multi-billion dollar industrial supplier, McMaster-Carr.
Alexandra holds a number of leadership positions in nonprofit organizations, including the Harvard Alumni Association and the Harvard College Fund.
A native New Yorker, Alexandra speaks four languages, has traveled through six continents, and is a graduate of Harvard University, from which she earned a B.A. in Government.
