Keith is Chief Commercial Officer of IHG, a role he has held since May 2013. He is responsible for leading IHG’s global brand, loyalty, sales, marketing and distribution functions as well as for driving consistent strategies across all geographies and leveraging IHG’s global scale and systems to deliver continued industry performance. Keith has spent more than 20 years working in the hospitality industry, during which time he has developed an expertise in operations, combined with significant experience in brand management and revenue generation.
In his current role, Keith ensures IHG’s high-quality portfolio of nine preferred brands continue to focus on guests’ needs and the occasions they travel for in order to deliver loyalty and brand preference. He also oversees IHG® Rewards Club, the world’s first and largest hotel loyalty programme, with more than 100 million enrolled members.
Keith joined IHG in 2000 and subsequently held a number of senior positions across IHG’s Americas, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) and Greater China regions. Most recently, he spent four years as Chief Executive Officer of our Greater China business, where the team drove outstanding results and consistently outperformed the market. Keith also delivered the launch of IHG’s newest brand HUALUXE Hotels and Resorts, which is tailored specifically for the Chinese traveller.
Keith was previously Vice President of Operations for midscale brands in North America, Vice President of Operations for the Holiday Inn brand in North America and Chief Operating Officer for Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific.
Prior to joining IHG, Keith held several senior positions at Bristol Hotels and Resorts which was acquired by IHG in 2000. He is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and is currently a member of its Leland C. and Mary M. Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship Advisory Board.
Keith has been a member of IHG’s Executive Committee since April 2011.
